With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan C Shroyer (Galion, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan C Shroyer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Waldo P. Heckathorne and Carmen A. Thompson Heckathorne; her son Jeffery Robert Shroyer; and her brothers, Daniel L. Heckathorne and Stephen W. Heckathorne.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Shroyer; her children, Cynthia C. Shroyer and Steven Shroyer (Donna); her grandchildren, Aleise Ruth (John), Nathan Dean, Hannah Harris, James Dean, Emily Gorman (Jerimy), Katey Boyd (Jasper), Benjamin Shroyer (Erin), Megan Dean, Bethany Shroyer, Matthew Shroyer (Kelsie), Libby Shroyer, Gabby Striker (Michael), Michael Batista and Amanda Wallace (Joshua); her sister Susan Derfler (Daniel); and her close friends, Doug and Geraldine Osborne (Jerry). She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Galion Alliance Church (430 Portland Way N, Galion, OH 44833). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
