He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Thoman and Beulah Mae Thoman (Perry); his stepfather Arthur Waterhouse; his son Michael Thoman, Sr.; and his siblings, Hazel Kime and William Thoman.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Winslow of Galion, Darlene Jones of Galion, Terri Kingan (Jim Marshal) of Galion and Sean Thoman (Cathy Brinker) of Galion; his daughter-in-law Tammy S. Thoman of Wooster; and his grandchildren, Anna Volk, Michael Thoman, Jr., Tricia Garcia, Kim Riley, Cassidy Volk, Christopher Kingan, Sam Smith, Melissa Jones, Erica Ray, Kaylin Jones, Sandra Fellure, Mark Thoman, Kaylee Thoman, Troy Kingan, Shannun Kingan, Robbie Tittle, Alexander Tittle and Bryce Tittle. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
