She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant West and Bernice West (Schnegelsberger); and her husband Val Young. She is survived by: her children, Valery Johnson (Jeff) of Prospect and Eric Young (Kathy) of Galion; and her sister Phyllis Goorley of Galion. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
