He was predeceased by: his father Emery Shaffer. He is survived by: his mother Marjorie Shaffer (Staub); his sister Lynne Goldsmith; his nephews, Scott Goldsmith and Steve Goldsmith (Kelly); and his great-nephews, Gavin and Weston Goldsmith.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1295 Fairview Rd, Galion, OH 44833).
