She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Smith and Francis Smith (Rinehart); her husband David H. Gaul; her son Dean Gaul; and her siblings, Geraldine Rheinbolt and Karl Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Danny Gaul of Nashville and David Gaul of Galion; and her sibling's children, Kristi Buongervino, Traci Smith and Leslie Hanlon.
