He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Caudill and Audrey Stepp (Frazier); his sister Lynda Tweed; his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Coffey and Joyce Haley; and his uncles, James Frazier and Rev. Cecil Frazier, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Janet Caudill (Comer); his children, Michelle Onie (Ryan) of Galion and Joshua Caudill (Jessica) of Galion; his grandchildren, Brandi Palmateer (Jesse), Bobby Gilbert, Kayden Caudill, Karley Caudill and Kylah Caudill; his great grandchildren, Gavin Palmateer, Audra Palmateer, Raeleigh Palmateer and Knox Dreamer; his siblings, Danny Caudill (Noela) of Orlando and Sheila Duncan (Carl) of Willard; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Haynes of Pikeville, Kentucky. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
