He was predeceased by: his father George McCleese of Washington; and his siblings, Nancy Hanna (McRoberts), Jimmy Dale McCleese and Mary Ellen McElhaney (Riley) of Bucyrus. He is survived by: his wife Harriet E. "Eva" Keirns; his children, Ted McCleese (Colleen) of Crestline, Ed McCleese (Debra) of Galion, Dee Bowe (Murel) of Sanford, NC, Chris McCleese (Laura) of Columbus and Joyce Miller (Rusty) of Galion; and his grandchildren, Paul McCleese, Angie Owens (McCleese), Tayler Hale (McCleese), Scott McCleese, Troy McCleese, Joshua McCleese, Chelsea McCleese, Shawn Bowe, Tonya Anderson (Bowe), Christopher McCleese, Sheila Chapman (McCleese) and Tina Crim (Miller). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
