She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Vilas and Lillian Irene Day Unroe; her husband Richard Shaffer; her son Kevin Joseph Shaffer; and her brothers, Greg Unroe, Phil Unroe, Lawrence Vilas Unroe Jr. and Terry Unroe.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Shaffer of Crown City and Terry Shaffer of Gallipolis, Ohio; her grandchildren, Zachary Shaffer of Maysville, Justin Shaffer of Maysville, Terry Lewis Shaffer (Mendy) of Point Pleasant and Sidney Matthew Shafer of Point Pleasant; and her siblings, Janet, Irene Fern, Vicki, Pam, Anita, Debbie, Bobby, Billy, Charles and Wendell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Swan Creek Cemetery.
