We announce the death of David Michael Lucas of Gallipolis, Ohio, who passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 44. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Chester, Margaret Johnson, Viola Bowen and Michael McCarty Lucas; and his brother Dakota "Cody" Lunsford.
He is survived by: his mother Belinda Johnson Lunsford (Tim) of Langsville; his wife Ashley Barr Lucas; his children, Ryan M. Lucas of Gallipolis, Ohio, Christina Lucas of Gallipolis, Natalie Erit, Nathaniel Erit of Gallipolis and Elizabeth Blazer of Athens, Ohio; his father David McCarty Lucas of Gallipolis; and his sisters, Virginia Oliver (Tex) of Wellston, Michelle Shuler of Langsville, Jessica Delaney of Coalton and Bethany Lunsford of Gallipolis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
