She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Mahan and Mabel Mahan (Allbright); her parents-in-law, William "Bill" and Nell Tawney; and her sister Mary Crews.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Michael "Mike" Tawney (Shelly) of Gallipolis, Ohio and Lisa Dawn Tawney (Clark) of Gallipolis, Ohio; her husband Lawrence M. Tawney; her grandchildren, Randi Tawney of Huntington, Andrea Franklin (Joel) of Gahana, Alex Tawney of Gallipolis and Sophie Clark of Gallipolis; her great grandchildren, Josh and Ella Franklin of Gahana, Ohio.; and her brother Rich Mahan. She is also survived by brother and sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCoy Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel (420 1st Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
