It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erica Bates of Gallipolis, Ohio, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Arthur "Bob", Marjorie Saunders, Donald and Lavina Curnutte; and her brother-in-law Howie Foster.
She is survived by: her mother Erica; her husband Ryan Bates; her sons, Garrett Ray Curnutte, Eric Michael Swartz and Logan Alan Bates; her sister Mindy Foster-Saunders (Eric); and her niece Jaela Foster of Gallipolis. She is also survived by mother, devoted daughter and a sister's best friend.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home Inc. (420 1st Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Mound Hill Cemetery.
