She was predeceased by : her parents, Omar McClellan Saunders and Eugenia Wright Saunders; her husband William Jackson Saunders; her daughter Virginia Burns; and her siblings, Garland Saunders (Marie), Herman Saunders, Albert Saunders, Marie Slagle (Lewis), Fern Henry (Oran), Olive Brown (Merrill), Beulah Stone (Allen), Grace Funk (Jim) and Louise Saunders.

She is survived by : her children, Connie Clarke (Gary), Kevin Saunders, James Saunders (Harla), Kent Saunders (Kim) and Cheryl Rife (Chuck) of Gallipolis; and her sisters-in-law, Jenny Saunders of Gallipolis, Corena Saunders of Gallipolis, Patty Davis of Gallipolis and Becky Carr (Tom) of Virginia. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a niece.
