With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen S. Polcyn of Gallipolis, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2026 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Garnet Edward and Helen Margaret Curnutte (Call); her significant other Chester Michael Polcyn; and her husband Claus. She is survived by: her children, Michael Shannon (Leah) of Gallipolis, Kari Lynn of Gallipolis and John Mark Polcyn (Jen) of Gallipolis; her grandchildren, Kanoa Frei, Travis Polcyn (Lexi) of Vinton, OH and Mesa Polcyn (Logan) of Gallipolis; and her siblings, Charles (Barbara) of Gallipolis, David (Corinne), Kevin Charleston (Deanna), Carl (Juanita), Charlotte of Charleston, AR, Jackline Hindman (John) of Morgantown, WV. and Kevin Curnutte. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
