He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Shillington and Loretta Reiland Shillington; his father-in-law James Haner; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Haner and Bennie McGrath.
He is survived by: his wife Diana; his children, Erin Shillington (Byron Welch, Jr.) of Jeffersonville, Kentucky and Alan Shillington (Katlyn) of Charlotte, Iowa; his grandchildren, Brody Welch, Karahline Shillington, Hunter Shillington and Raylan Shillington; his sisters, Linda McGrath of Clarion, Marilyn Anderson (Larry) of Clarion and Paula McCloskey (Barney) of Green Valley, Arizona; and his mother-in-law Hilda Haner of Gallipolis, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel (12 Garfield Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
