He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd D. Cox and Claris A. Halley Cox; his spouse Marlinda "Marty Rae" Boden Cox; his daughter Misty McIntyre; and his siblings, Hayward Cox, Floyd "Bub" Cox, Merrill "Freddie" Cox, Allen "Roe" Cox, Wilmadine "Grace" Reel, Evelyn Wright and Elsie Pauline Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Sara Baker (Doug) of Gallipolis, Brian Cox (Virginia) of Ironton, Ohio, Sherry Seagraves (Jeff) of Oak Hill, Ohio and Zane McIntyre of Akron, Ohio; his grandchildren, Brittany, Teira, Kristen, Mikey, Hunter, Cory, Michael, Kalynn, Krystal, Kaylea and Samantha; his pets, Bo and Sassy; and his siblings, Alice Bing of Gallipolis, Luella Hazelbaker of Gallipolis and Charles Cox (Margie) of Gallipolis, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
