It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pirate J. Harris (Galloway, Ohio), who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Harris and Annie Pearl Hawkins; his son Pirate J. Harris Jr.; his brother Morris Hawkins Jr.; and his stepson Mark Akers.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Ann Harris; his children, Antonio Harris and Patricia Kim Harris; his stepchildren, RayeAnn Tucker, Sherri Townsend, Tracy Brigner, Shonda Price, Sylvia Madison and Yolonda Ndiath; and his siblings, Joe Billy Hawkins, Michaun Harris and Latonya Pittman (Darryl). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services (3030 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43204). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Cemetery (6959 W Broad St, Galloway, OH 43119).
