She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph B. Scales and Bernice Scales (Harper); and her siblings, Billie, Audrey and Pearlie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Theresa L. Mitchell (David), Belinda, Iris Bolding (Bobby) and Etta White (Vincent); her brother George Scales; and her grandchildren, Arita Terrell, Geneva Hicks, Venetta McDonald, Stephanie Hale, Joshua White, Bobby Bolding and Iryss Bolding. She is also survived by nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
