We announce the death of Eva June Buckbee of Garrettsville, Ohio, who passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 91. Eva will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Hughes and Edna Hughes (McGraw); her spouse Willam Buckbee Sr.; her son Johnathan Buckbee; and her siblings, Willow, Max, Cecil, Warren, George, John D. Hughes, Molly Hughes, Ruby Slack, Edith Battone and Frances Justus.
She is survived by: her children, William Buckbee Jr. (Jennifer), Duane Buckbee (Connie) and Rebecca Strouse; her sisters, Mary Brown and Karen Legg; and her grandchildren, Zackary Strouse, Meagan Durel (Chris), Alex Buckbee (Angela), Grace Buckbee, Claire Buckbee, Carol Cunningham (Brian), Krissie Lambert (Scott) and Joyce Strickland. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
