He was predeceased by: his parents, David S. Burkey and Arletta Burkey (Sweeney); and his brothers, John C. Burkey and Mark A. Burkey. He is survived by: his daughters, Ruth Simmons and Rachel Burkey; his siblings, Margo Santiago (Abimael), Diann Rosario (Juan), Keith Burkey and Kevin Burkey; and his fiancée Donna Laughner.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home (667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (385 Riverside Dr, Painesville, OH 44077).
