She is survived by: her children, Nathan Hawkins Ostrander (Leslie), Kate Prahl McClanahan (Kel) and Cowles Strong Ostrander (Emily); her grandchildren, Noa, Saoirse and Felton; her brother Ronald Prizner; her niece Jessica Constantine; and her siblings-in-law, Jeannie Daggett (Richard) and Robert Ostrander (Debbie).
In lieu of flowers, the family supports donations to a local humane society/animal shelter or a book drive/local library in remembrance of Gayle.
