The passing of Iris Geil of Geneva, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 19, 2025 at the age of 89. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli A. Kananen and Idabryl Kananen (Hayford); her husband Elmer William Geil; her sister Elida Van Slyke; and her son John J. Geil.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce Ritchie of Orwell and Karen Portzer (Charles) of Hartsgrove; her son-in-law Wayne Ritchie of Hartsgrove; and her grandchildren, Sarah, Wayne William, Stacie, Alyssa (Andy), Benjamin, Megan and Kylee.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Paine Funeral Home (140 E Main St, Orwell, OH 44076). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Hartsgrove Community Church or Rae-Ann Geneva, Activities Department.
