He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard and Bertha Karran (Miller); his wife Blythe; his sisters, Eleanor Gawne (Edwin) and Evalyn Heikkinen (Ruffy); and his sister-in-law Arlene Nielsen (Eric).
He is survived by: his son Bentley Karran (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Tyler and Tessa Karran; his sister-in-law Joanne Goodell (Joe Nolan); his nieces, Vera Shafer (Mark), Elvira Gawne and Jaye Athy (Chris); and his nephew Clay Nielsen (Melissa).
