She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Schimming and Cora Schimming (Dehn); her son Stephen Harmeyer; her brothers, Milton Schimming and Kenneth Schimming; and her stepmother Blanche Cashen Schimming.
She is survived by: her children, Beth Johnson (Harmeyer) and John W. Harmeyer (Deb); her grandchildren, Melissa, Travis, Amanda (Kurtis), Kara (Branden) and Andrea (Alan); her great grandchildren, Noah, Taryne, Carlissa, Anslee, Hattie, Otto, Adleigh, Sutton, Aiden and Emmett; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Schimming and JoElaine Schimming. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (21140 W Toledo St, Williston, OH 43468). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Clay Township Cemetery (439 S Opfer-Lentz Rd, Elmore, OH 43416).
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to St. John Lutheran Church, Williston; Luther Home of Mercy; and Allen-Clay Joint Fire District.
