James A. McElroy Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. McElroy of Georgetown, Ohio, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McElroy and Lottie McElroy (Kautz); and his brothers, Terry and Tom McElroy. He is survived by: his wife Kaye McElroy (Myers); his children, Kim McElroy of Georgetown, Sheri Griffith (Dave Howerton) of Felicity, Susan Smith (Carl) of Decatur, Jamie McElroy of Georgetown and Missy McElroy (Troy Mitchell) of Georgetown, Ohio; his grandchildren, Timothy South, B. J. Smith (Lauren), Brady South (Hope), Kayla South, Brittany Layman (Jason), Kyle Smith (Jocelyn), Collin McElroy, Houston Highlander and Jessica Griffith; his great grandchildren, Avery South, James Brady South, Taytum South, Addy Smith, Logan South, Izzy Smith, Ari Smith, Jaxson Smith, Kye Layman and Levi Layman; and his brother Bobby McElroy of Georgetown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
