He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John M. "Mickey" Brand and Mary Louida Colebank Brand. He is survived by: his daughter Amy Brand; his son-in-law Jacob Hauser of Cincinnati; his grandchildren, Kurt Brand Hauser and Greta Brand Hauser; his sisters, Mary Jane Brand and Lynn Dowdy of Henrico, Virginia; his nephew Marcus Brand; and his niece Sarah Traugott.
