He was predeceased by: his parents, Allene Eakes (Epperson) and John Eakes; and his brother Gary Eakes. He is survived by: his wife Dolores M. Eakes (Gilbert); his sons, Scott and Eric Eakes; his stepsons, Robert "Rob" Cooper (Pam) and Ronald "Ron" Cooper (Misty Swett); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Raymond Cooper and Matthew Harvey; and his brother Alan Eakes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
