Lois Carolyn Smith Obituary
We announce the death of Lois Carolyn Smith of Gettysburg, Ohio, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 93. Lois will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lois will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Lois will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Lois’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Garbig and Mildred Garbig (Wolfe). She is survived by: her husband Gordon Smith; her children, Carrie Smith and Dr. Wade Smith (Susan); her granddaughter Sophia Smith; and her sister Marjorie Howell.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home (1499 N Broadway St #337, Greenville, OH 45331). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
