He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H. Herman Jr. and Delores May Herman (Kruse); his in-laws, Willis and Iris Skilliter; his brothers, Edward Herman III and Thomas Herman; and his brother-in-law Stan King.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Skilliter; his children, Jeffrey E. J. Herman and Haley A. Herman (Owen Crews); his siblings, Patricia King and Daniel Herman (Sonia); his sister-in-law Brenda Fisher; and his nieces and nephews, Madison Novotny (Aaron), Elizabeth Fisher, Zackary Herman and Alex Fisher.
