Leslie Widmer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leslie Widmer of Gibsonburg, Ohio, who passed away on August 31, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leslie Widmer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Widmer and Lynnette Widmer (Copley); his stepmother Mary Widmer; and his brother-in-law John Timmons. He is survived by: his wife Marcella Rose Auxter; his children, Jerry Widmer (Rose) of Gibsonburg, Timothy Widmer of Gibsonburg, Wendy Ernsthausen (John) of Gibsonburg and Scott Widmer (Bethany) of Gibsonburg; his grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan (Samantha), Megan Widmer, Tyler, Hannah, Joshua Ernsthausen, Samantha, Emma and Sophia Widmer; his great grandchildren, Conner, Isabelle and Landon Widmer; and his sister Elaine Timmons of Burgoon.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (705 W State St, Fremont, OH 43420).
Memorials in honor of Leslie may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, to the Gibsonburg Education Foundation or for the family's wishes.
