With solemn reverence, we commemorate Donald Rotar Sr. of Girard, Ohio, whose life came to an end on June 12, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Rotar and Josephine Rotar; his former wife Patricia Keehner Rotar; his wife Mary Katherine "Kitty" Clemens; his stepson Dale Clemens Jr.; and his siblings, Alex (Madeline), Charles (Ruth), Rudy (Frances), Willie (Mary), Helen Weamer (George), Elsie Jones (Howard "Buzz") and Dorothy Kersten (Dick).
He is survived by: his brother Don; his children, Don Jr. (Kathy) of Toledo, David (Anna) of Florida, Maggie Valloric (Jeff) of Colorado and Carrie Novotny (Mike) of Salem; his stepdaughter-in-law Georgia Clemens of Florida; his grandchildren, Sean Rotar (Jenelle) of Indiana, Jason Rotar (Tori) of Toledo, Jennifer Valloric (Josh) of Colorado, Michael Valloric (Nichole) of Colorado, Joseph Rotar (Amber) of Alaska, Anthony Rotar (Christine) of Ohio, Stephen Novotny (Sarah Stroney) of Pittsburgh, Ryan Novotny (Joree) of Dublin and Nicole Novotny of Salem, Ohio; and his stepgrandchildren, Brent Clemens (Heidi) and Melissa Sherman (Josh). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home (672 Churchill Rd, Girard, OH 44420).
