He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Loraine Parsons Smith; his son Brett Smith; and his sister Joyce Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Kapics (Jeff) and Chad Smith (Stacy) of Akron; his grandchildren, Mason, Alyssa, Alec, Dane, Dominic, Connor and Landon; his great grandchildren, Ruston "Rusty" and Reece; and his siblings, Darlene Jenkins of Salem and Bob Smith (Debbie) of Hanoverton.
