He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas A. Carano and Margaret M. Tranick Carano; his wife Nancy J. McFall; and his son David Carano. He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas J. Carano Jr. of Campbell, Ohio and Michael Carano (Pattie) of Lordstown, Ohio; and his stepchildren, Ronald Fiedler (Mary) of Hubbard, Ohio, Donald Fiedler (Kelly) of Girard, Ohio, Ellsworth Fiedler of Girard, Ohio, Eleanor Fiedler of Girard, Ohio and Edward Fiedler (Tonia Fox) of Hubbard, Ohio. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
