She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Helms and Rhea Lucetta Masters Helms; her husband Russell Thornton Sr.; her close friend Earl Foster; her son Russell Thornton Jr.; and her brother David Helms.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Olexo of Glencoe and Colleen Seckman (Mike) of Glencoe; her daughter-in-law Karon Thornton; and her siblings, Ray Helms of Wadsworth, OH and Ludora Brown of Rittman, OH. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
