He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Gutridge and Mary Gutridge (Trout); his wife Rita; and his sister Joyce. He is survived by: his daughter Susan Murphy (Ron); his grandsons, Clayton Smart (Cassie) and Dylan Smart (Tabby); his great grandchildren, Gunner, Cason, Lincoln, River and Sadie; and his brother Harold Gutridge.
