He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Spears and Genevieve Misner Spears; his wife Barbara Spears; his brothers, Thomas Spears and Jimmie Lee Spears; his great grandchild Alexander Young; and his siblings-in-law, Doug Miller, Wilbur Rutter, Tim Vess and Nancy Spears.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Spears (Melena White) of Crooksville, Jeffrey Spears (Crystal Smith) of Lancaster, Bobbi Billiel (Yurii) of Glouster and Tammy Vickers (Roger) of Albany; his grandchildren, Amber, Jerry, Kelsey, Ashley, Brandon, Zachary, Phillip, Tyler, Dillon, Morgan, Austin, Thomas Jr. and Kaitlyn; his siblings, George Spears (Barbara Hermey), Ben Spears, Steve Spears (Karen), Kathy Miller, Judy Rutter, Carol Hoppstetter (Kenny) and Brenda Vess; and his close friends, Monty Christa, David Losey and John Losey. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
