He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Shifflet and Margaret Freeman Shifflet; his siblings, Sylvester, John, James, David, Helen, Mary Jane, Naomi and Shirley; his grandson Chad Eric Shifflet; his great grandchild Cameron Carr; and his sons-in-law, Jeff Gura and Tony Oskey.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Sawyer Shifflet; his children, Thomas E. Shifflet Jr., Cindy Shifflet, Rebecca Oskey Richards (John), Jody Dearth (Dave) and Tammy Gura (Jimmy Childs); his grandchildren, Carletta, Chris, Debra, Toni Lynn, Summer, Little Dave, Matt, Kristin, Chelsie, Landon and Tammy; his siblings, Bob Shifflet, Kathy Rainer and Margie Adams; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Shifflet. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Chapel (6525 S State Rte 78, Glouster, OH 45732). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery.
