He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Phillips; his parents, Clarence Phillips and Margaret Phillips; his sisters, Pauline Daily, Elizabeth Batchelor and Jeanette Smith; his son Todd "Tony" Phillips; and his grandchildren, Jake Phillips, Stephanie Brown and Amy Durham.
He is survived by: his sons, Tom Phillips (Lisa), Mike Phillips (Diana), Leonard Phillips (Mary), Clarence "Chuck" Phillips III (Theresa), Joe Phillips (Kim) and Rodney Phillips; his brothers, Donald Phillips (Faye) and Jerry Phillips; and his sister-in-law Sally Easton-Humphries. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
