He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Larry Purdy and Mary Purdy-Walters (Smith); his grandparents, Clarence, Lou Smith, Lewis and Ruth Purdy; and his nephew Bradley Penland.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Wahl (Jared) of Fayetteville, Ohio; his granddaughter Evee Wahl; his stepfather Ron Walters of New Richmond, Ohio; his siblings, Ronnie Walters (Olga) of Owensville, Diane Purdy of Goshen, Rodney Walters (Dawnya) of Bryant, Debbie Purdy (Larry Wilson) and Don Purdy (Tina) of Bethel, Ohio; and his close friend Sherry Whisner of Felicity. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
