He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara J. Derrick (Van Pelt); his parents, Oda Melvin (Pete) and Anna Derrick (Weidner); his sister Carol Warman (Derrick); his son Kimball; his daughter-in-law Leslie Derrick; his daughters, Cynthia Wengert and Jennifer; his son-in-law Shane Dobbs; his sister-in-law Janice Bennett; his grandson Jacob Wengert (Jessica); and his stepgrandchildren, Zach Dobbs (Kelsey), Asian Loori, Ben Sukys (Nadine) and Melissa Burton (Mike). He was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
