It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph August Van Kerkhove of Grafton, Ohio, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph B. Kerkhove and Mildred L. Van Kerkhove; his grandson Brody Hylbert; and his parents-in-law, Mark, LaRene Tran, Ruth Tran, James Tran, Alan, Ginny Tran and Ted Sayers.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Joric Butler (Bobby) and Jonelle Hylbert (Andrew); his grandchildren, Jared Meredith, Samuel Butler (Kelsey), Elizabeth Butler, Ella Butler, Luke and Emme Hylbert; and his brothers, James Van Kerkhove and Rick Van Kerkhove (Sue). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
