He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Straka and Carmella Straka (Ragusa); his sons, Tom and Steven Jr.; and his sisters, Elayne Baum and Barbara Straka.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Naomi Straka of Grafton; his son Rich Straka of Columbus; and his siblings, Susan Villwock, Esther Scanlon (late Dennis), Norma "Cookie" Myers (late William) and William Straka (Lynn). He is also survived by one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter; and his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home (38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 3:20 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to The Anointed Church of Jesus Christ, 6119 West River Road South, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
