He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Shoemaker Kirby Lenehan and John Byron Kirby, Sr.; his stepfather John Lenehan; his sister Judy Kirby Gustaveson; his sister-in-law Sister Julie Burd Smith; his sibling's children, Linda Gustaveson Wieland and Andrew Gustaveson; and his great grandchild King.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Cole (Michael), Elisa O'Connor (Tony), Tia Kirby and Peter Kirby (Max); his grandchildren, Skye Gladden, Cayne Chapman, Nicholas Cole, Kytia Mosely, Kelsey Tarczon (Kevin), Neo Kirby, Patrick Cole, Ryan O'Connor, Dylan O'Connor, John Kirby and Kara Kirby; and his great grandchildren, Royale and Brindley.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Edward the Confessor Church (785 Newark Granville Rd, Granville, OH 43023).
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Central Ohio, the Alzheimer's Association, or a cause of your choosing.
