It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Evelyn Gilbert of Green Springs, Ohio, born in Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Gillette and Ruth Gillette (Cederholm); her husband Charles Gilbert Sr.; her children, Charles Gilbert Jr. (Loretta), Donald Gilbert, Robert Gilbert and Carolyn Shearn-Hougendobler; her granddaughters, Lori Gilbert and Terri Gilbert; her great great grandchild Emersyn Shearn; and her siblings, Eileen Shaver, Howard, Walter and Helen Gillette.
She is survived by : her daughters-in-law, Beverly Gilbert of Clyde, OH and Lorilee Gilbert of Fremont, OH; and her grandchildren, Tamela Leber (Steve) of Green Springs, OH, Dorothy "Dotti" Gilbert of DeSoto, MO, Ralph Shearn Jr. (Sara) of Fremont, OH, Toni Gilbert of Clyde, OH, Eric Gilbert of Reynoldsburg, OH and Jennifer Long (Mark) of Findlay, OH. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
