He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hackworth and Lucy Hackworth (Whitaker). He is survived by: his wife Florence Hackworth of Green Springs, OH; his children, Pam Clark of Frankford, KY, Bill Hackworth Jr. of Green Springs, OH, Tamela Hackworth of Green Springs, OH, John Paul Hackworth (Jodi) of Clyde, OH and Leeana Hackworth of Green Springs, OH; and his siblings, Okie Wells of Kentucky and Henry O. Hackworth of Kentucky. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
