She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Rieman and Florence Rieman; her spouse Boots Shay; and her siblings, Glen Rieman (Betty), Dick Rieman, Dale Rieman and Shirley Ruberg (Jerry).
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Ross, Terry Bock (David), Steve Shay (Joan), Patrick "Rick" Shay (Cecelia), Ed, Dianne Weyer and Georgia; her grandchildren, Tony Ross (Jen), Becky Ross, Dan Ross (Caitlin), David Bock (Liz), Jonathan Bock (Kelley), Laura Vita (Joseph), Julie Shay, Erin Shay, Katie Shay, Cecily Ison (Steve) and Abby Ison (Andrew); her brother Jim Rieman (Dimps); and her sister-in-law Ginny Rieman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Queen City Hospice, an organization that embodies the love and compassion that Joan so deeply cherished.
