He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy M. Addington and Louemma Addington (Barker); his wife Loretta Addington (Leach); his daughter Cheryl Ann Addington; and his sisters, Carman Archer and Margaret George.

He is survived by : his children, David Addington (Reta) of Ashland, KY, Rhonda Conley (Chuck) of Fairborn and Dawn Swift (John) of Leesburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
