He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Lee Wesley and Irene Pierce (McCoy); his wife Carol L. Pierce (McCarty); and his siblings, Loren Edward Pierce, Harold L. Pierce and Wilma Grubb.

He is survived by : his nephew Victor McCarty of Washington, C. H.; and his brother George L. Pierce (Emma) of Washington, C. H.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
