He was predeceased by: his parents, David Franklin and Dorothy Irene Tillis (Braley); his wife Marie A. "Sis" Tillis; and his grandson Todd Douglas James. He is survived by: his children, Cyndi Joseph (Dan) of Greenfield and Bobby Tillis (Melissa) of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Mandi Wiechert (Charley), Kevin Pepper, Noah Tillis, Kaycie Tillis, Tyler Miller (Chelsea) and Kylie Miller; his great grandchildren, Zach Tillis, Robby Cline, Ryan Roberts, Logan Merritt, Kaylee Miller, Lincoln Pepper and Ava Miller; his siblings, David Edwin Tillis of Bainbridge, Rosanna Grooms of Bainbridge and Pamela Smith (Jeff) of Kingston; and his pet Rocky. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
