He was predeceased by : his parents, James "Jef" Fitzpatrick and Wanda Fitzpatrick (Williams); his brother Thomas Fitzpatrick; his niece Julie Anthony; and his mother-in-law Janet Manley.

He is survived by : his wife Kimberly Fitzpatrick (Zickafoose); his sons, Christopher Fitzpatrick (Leslie) of Kannapolis, N. C. and Daniel Fitzpatrick (Samantha) of Greenfield; his granddaughters, Ella Fitzpatrick, Eva Fitzpatrick, Danica Fitzpatrick, Darcy Haddox, Brooklynn McCarty and Hanna Leonard; his sisters, Teena Thornton of The Plains, Terry Figgins (Bill) of Greenfield, Toni Fitzpatrick of Huber Heights and Trudy Bartley (Phil) of Washington, C. H.; and his siblings-in-law, Rosalie Fitzpatrick of Banks, Lynn Harris (Mark) of Wilmington and Benny Zickafoose (Sandy) of Greenfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
