He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred McCarty and Lenora McCarty (Gray); his brothers, Timothy McCarty, Christopher McCarty and Russell McCarty; and his nephew Samuel Lee Lundquist.
He is survived by: his siblings, Fred McCarty (Cathy) of Newark and Sebrina Lundquist of New Mexico. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
